1000 Books Before Kindergarten: Ages birth - 5 years. The goal of this easy early literacy program is to read 1000 books with your child before they reach Kindergarten. You set the pace, and there are plenty of prizes to encourage little ones and set them on the path to success. Sign up at the desk today!
Bounce & Rhyme Storytime: Ages 10 months - 24 months. Join us on Mondays at 10:30 am for stories, fingerplays, and bubbles! Each themed storytime lasts about 10 minutes, followed by playtime.
Brain Builders: Ages 2 - 5. Get hands-on with the library's educational building kits. Complete a challenge or build whatever you imagine.
Little Learners Storytimes: Ages 2 - 5. Come to the library to learn something new! Listen to stories, do an activity, or create a simple craft. Each themed storytime lasts about 20 minutes followed by playtime.
Saturday Storytimes: Ages 2 - 8. Listen to stories and make a craft with Miss Amanda.
Craft Night: Ages 3 - Adult. Make a fun family-friendly craft at 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month. No experience is needed and everyone is welcome. Parents can participate too!
Book Club: Adults. Check out and read a copy of the monthly Book Club selection, then share your thoughts with fellow readers on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. Newcomers welcome.
Online Book Group: Adults. Join the SSPL Book Group on Facebook, then check out and read a copy of the bi-monthly selection. Share your thoughts with fellow readers from the comfort of home when the discussion post is posted. Anyone can join.
Independent Projects: All Ages. We have a number of Independent Projects such as our Origami kit for in-library use as well as take-home activities. You are welcome to play with our puzzles, games, and coloring sheets for all ages. Stop in any time to see what is available.
