Fundraising

While the Berks County government, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and local municipals provide the majority of our funding, we raise approximately 26% of our budget through donations and various fundraisers.

Book sale

There is an ongoing book sale in the library meeting room every day during our open hours. There are bargain basement prices and a huge selection of fiction titles. There are new items coming in every day so keep checking back. We often get brand new bestsellers donated and popular authors. Fill a bag for $5.  Individual items are $1 each.

There are many children's books and DVD's available and a selection of large print. These make terrific gift items or great for stocking up on your favorite authors or subjects. All funds collected from the sale help to improve the quality of your library.

Upon checkout you will notice we have various items for sale to benefit the library

  • Gertrude Hawk Chocolates
  • Greeting Cards
  • Event tickets
