Longwood Garden's Community Read Program

Adults & children (ages 0-12) are welcome to participate in MCL's program challenges for Longwood Gardens' Community Read prizes!

Children: Enjoy a recorded reading of Ruby's Birds by Mya Thompson on our Facebook group “MCL Storytimes.”

Submit a photo of a bird feeder you created with recycled or found materials for a chance to win a Longwood Gardens family pass or a bird watching kit! Email a photo of your submission to Miss Katie at muhlku10@gmail.com. The children's winner will be drawn May 31.

Adults: Win a copy of Longwood Gardens Community Read selection, J. Drew Lanham’s The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature and a $10 Starbucks gift card.There are two ways to participate!
Option 1: Take a 30 minute screen fast! Walk outside & capture a nature-centric photograph to submit.
Option 2: Buy a small plant or grow one from seed. Snap a picture of the seedlings or new plant addition to your home.

Email your submission to Miss Brittany at muhlbdt@gmail.com. The adult winner will be drawn on May 29.
