About Us

In March of 1937 the library opened its doors with 50 books on loan from the state in a community that valued reading and a lending library. With the help of community organizations and volunteers, it thrived.

In 1980 the West Lawn-Wyomissing Hills library joined the then-new system of the Berks County Public Libraries. Twenty-one years later, renovations on the lower level of the building allowed the library to relocate to a beautiful and unique facility.

2011 West Lawn-Wyomissing Hills Library merged with and became a branch of the Spring Township Library. The two libraries work together to provide for the education, information, social and entertainment needs of the Township residents.
