TIGERS in the Park

This summer we are once again partnering with the Borough of Fleetwood for our Summer Learning Program. We will be returning to the parks and area locations for our "Tigers in the P.A.R.K." weekly programs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays geared for ages 3-10. This summer we are also continuing our evening and weekend camps for students entering 3rd-6th grade with a few changes.

2023 Summer Reading Challenge

There are so many amazing prizes that can be won each week at the Library. Be sure to stop in the library to see the prizes and see when the winners of each one will be drawn. All tickets must be in by 2pm on the day of drawing to be part of the drawing. Look carefully because some prizes are drawn weekly and some are drawn at the end of summer. Don't miss out!

Tickets are available in the library starting June 12. They will also be available at each of the Tigers in the PARK events at Locust Street Park, Fleetwood Park and our Friday Field Trips.

Tigers in the P.A.R.K. 

(Play, Activities, Reading, for Kids)

Tigers in the P.A.R.K. programs are geared for ages 3-10 and require adult supervision. (This is not a drop off program.) Find us at various locations around the Fleetwood Area on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10am. Click on each of the days below for more information and full schedule. (Details are still being confirmed so be sure to check back after May 1.)

Find us at Locust Street Park on Monday mornings at 10 am (600 E. Locust Street, see map below) 

Mondays at Locust Street will feature a traditional storytime with books, songs, and activities. This program is geared for both preschool and elementary school children up to age 10. Restroom available on site. Stay and play on the playground after the program!

Wednesdays at 10 am find us at Fleetwood Park (333 W. Main Street, see map below)

New presenters and entertainers will be featured each week, followed by interactive stations to explore around the Fleetwood Park Playground. Restrooms available on site. Please note on July 19 we will NOT be at the park and instead will meet at Willow Run Farm (270 Hoch Road)

**Schuler Farms LLC is a sixth-generation dairy and crop farm in Richmond Township. We have 100 Holstein cows that produce high-quality milk for local consumption. We own 600 acres of land where we implement modern sustainable agricultural practices to produce feed for our cows and for other livestock in southeast Pennsylvania. We look forward to seeing you and showing you more about what we do!

Richmond Township, Maidencreek Township, and Fleetwood Borough will be showing off their construction equipment in Fleetwood Park. Come get a "close-up view" and learn what each machine does.

August 11 - St Peters UCC End of Season Potluck!! - 219 Maidencreek Rd, Fleetwood

Past, present, & future come together for our last field trip.  Learn about the past as we explore the graveyard.  Admire the present as we gaze over our valley.  Celebrate the future (our children!) as we share a meal together.  Hot dogs are provided. Bring your favorite dish to share!

Tiger Camps

Summer 2023: Crafts, STEM, ART, and Theater Camps! These are geared for students entering 3rd grade through 6th grade. Each camp is 3-5 weeks long and requires registration as class size is limited. Registration should be done through our Google form. When completing the form please indicate any dates you will not be able to attend.

We ask each participant to commit to all sessions.

We love when people share their talents and passions with the community.  That is why our Craft Camp is being run by Fleetwood Middle School student Willow Bleyer.  Willow loves crafts, doing crafts with others, and sharing all the fun and camaraderie of group crafting. 

Craft Camp will run Thursday evenings June 15 - June 29 from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm in Room 111.

We ask that a parent/guardian remain in the Fleetwood Community Center during the duration of the program.

Our STEM Camp will be run by Fleetwood Area High School alum Emily Hayes. Emily is currently studying Math Education at Syracuse University. 

STEM Camp will run Tuesday evenings July 11 - August 8 from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm in Room 111. During the last session, students will prepare a display/presentation for the 150th Celebration Open House on the afternoon of August 12 in the Community Center.

Our Art Camp is being run by Fleetwood High School alum Alyson Witman. Alyson is currently studying Art Education at Kutztown University. 

Art Camp will run Thursday evenings July 13 to August 10 from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm in Room 111. During the last session, students will prepare a display/presentation for the 150th Celebration Open House on the afternoon of August 12 in the Community Center.

Our Theatrical Camp is being run by Fleetwood Community Theatre. 

Theatrical Camp will be held on Saturday mornings July 15 - August 12 from 10 am-11:30 am in Room 111.

The camp will culminate in a performance during the 150th Celebration Open House (12 noon - 4 pm) on August 12 in the Community Center.  Students should be able to attend all camp sessions and the afternoon performance on August 12th.

We ask that a parent/guardian remain in the Fleetwood Community Center during the duration of the program.

Teen Activities

Teen Tuesday: Students entering 7th grade and above are welcome to hang out in our MAKERspace Rm111 on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.  For more information email: fleetwoodkids0146@gmail.com.   D&D with Miss Deanne on the last Tuesday of June & July!

Grab & Grow Take-Home Activities

Our popular Grab and Grow take-home activities will continue this summer.  New items are being added each week.  These are for ALL ages so be sure to look for the teen/adult Grab and Grow area!  The Grab and Grow area is accessible anytime the Fleetwood Borough Community Center is open, even when the library is closed!
