Vision Screening

Join us for a story about C. Well Bunny and a craft.
Hear about the easily vision screening process. Children have the opportunity to participate in the free vision screening.

A parent or guardian will be asked to sign the permission form for the screening.

The Vision Resource Center of Berks County offers free vision screenings for children 1-6 years of age. The SPOT Vision Screener enables us to quickly and easily screen young children, and immediately print results to give to parents. A child only needs to look at the lights in the camera for a few seconds, and does not need to respond in any way. This system screens for the following: nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, unequal pupil size, and gaze deviation. Each year over 3,000 children are screened at preschools and day cares throughout Berks County. Early detection of vision concerns allows for early correction.
