Community Yoga Class

Wernersville Public Library, 100 North Reber Street, Wernersville, PA 19565

Whether you have never done yoga before, or regularly attend other exercise classes but would like to try something new, the library's community yoga sessions can be just the thing you need to decompress, unwind, and relax.

The library has mats, so if you do not own one, please do let that stop you from this soothing and good for you activity. We also have blocks and straps to help with reaching and stretching, so anyone of any ability can take part.

There are aspects of yoga practice, such as mindfulness and meditation, that can be adapted, applied, and realized in our day to day lives. A yoga practice can be a way to ground and center, to feel safe and supported in all that we do. When we slow down and harmonize with our breath, we can use the breath as a tool for mental and emotional self-regulation.

Give a yoga class a try if you would like to:

  • Return to movement after a period of inactivity
  • Reduce and manage symptoms of anxiety and depression
  • Work with an injury/special condition
  • Focus on a specific area of concentration within the 8 limbs of yoga

This class is led by Nicole Renninger, a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. She studied Hatha Yoga at Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica. Nicole teaches various types of yoga to children through senior citizens in many different settings. She is currently a yoga instructor at Epiphany Life Spa and Wellness Center, leads the Brew Yoga series at Schaylor Brewing Company, Yoga in the Park at Nolde Forest, and is the substitute yoga instructor at Wyomissing Public Library.

Registration is not required. All classes are drop-in, and cost $5 to the instructor. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early, and bring a mat.
