Join volunteers to learn how your government can work for you. Community volunteers will share resources, discuss how federal, state, and local representatives can personally assist you, and how you can make your voice heard in the decisions that affect your community.
Some topics covered in the workshop will include:
-Federal/state representatives: what they can do for you and how to find your representative. Constituent services.
– CHIP, Pennsylvania clearances, unemployment benefits, Yellow DOT, PA529 college savings program, veteran’s benefits, immigration, medicare, medicaid
-Local government: how to join boards, volunteer for your councilperson’s events, participate in city hall meetings.
