Your library has been working very hard to make curbside service as smooth, comfortable, and safe as possible so you can enjoy your books and movies. Request items through the countywide catalog by logging in with your library card.

When your items are ready to be picked up, you will receive a notice via email, telephone, or text. When you get this notice, please call your location to arrange a pickup time. Each library will have a slightly different pickup procedure which will be outlined when scheduling your appointment.
Bernville Area Community Library
Pickup by appointment only. Place your requests online and a staff member will call you to schedule a pick up time.
Bethel-Tulpehocken Public Library*
Go to the online catalog or contact us with your requests. When you receive a notice that your holds are ready, stop by the library during our operating hours, and we'll bring your items out to you.
Boone Area Library
Place your requests online and a staff member will call you to schedule a pick up time. All item pick ups will take place in the Community Room via the side entrance.
Boyertown Community Library*
Place your requests online or call the library (610-369-0496) and speak to a staff member. Drive to the library during the current library hours (listed here) and call when you arrive. Give a description of your vehicle and tell staff where you would like the items placed (in trunk, back seat, or on table outside of library entrance). If you do not have a cell phone, call ahead and set up an appointment to pick up items.
Brandywine Community Library
Place your requests online and a staff member will call you to schedule a pick up time. Please do not come to the library. To keep our neighbors at the Lutheran Home safe we will provide curbside service at the Topton Memorial Pool parking lot off of West Weis Street. Please enter from the East entrance (the side closer to the USPS mailbox). Pull up to the orange cones or behind the car in front of you. When it is your turn please roll down your passenger window, tell us your name and if you are returning any items. Our staff will be wearing masks and will help you with your items.
Exeter Community Library
Place your holds online and we'll give you a call to schedule your pickup time (at the side entrance.)
Fleetwood Area Public Library
Place your holds online and we will call you for check out and pick up appointment times.
Hamburg Public Library*
Place your holds online and we will call you to arrange a time to pick up your waiting materials outside the library on the table outside our entrance.
Kutztown Community Library*
Place your holds online or give us a call (610-683-5820). Library staff will get the items ready, check them out and place them in our no-contact Grab & Go station outside of the library. You can pick up your items during our library hours.
Mifflin Community Library
Place your holds online or call the library (610-777-3911). We'll notify you when your materials are available and schedule an appointment for pick up. Your items will be placed outside on our pick up cart or inside the vestibule (if raining) on your assigned day.
Muhlenberg Community Library
Temporarily closed to all services.
Reading Public Library*
All four RPL locations are open for Order Ahead / Lobby Pickup. Pick up hours and days will be limited. Place your holds through the online catalog and call or email us to schedule a pick up time (RPLpickup@gmail.com), or select and schedule your pickup time through the RPL2GO app. At pickup time, enter the lobby of the selected library branch and find the bag with the last 3 letters of your last name and last 4 digits of your library card. Patrons must wear a mask and bring their library card to pick up items. Library staff will monitor the lobby from inside the library. Please click here for branch contact information and hours.
Robesonia Community Library
Place your holds online or call the library (610-693-3264). We'll notify you when your materials are available and schedule an appointment for pick up. You can pick up your items from the marked table just outside the library. Your bag(s) will be marked with the first three letters of your last name, a first initial and the last four numbers of your library card number.
Schuylkill Valley Community Library*
Place your holds online or call the library. When your hold requests are ready for pick up, you will receive a phone call, email, or text message as usual. At that time, you will need to schedule a time to pick up. To schedule your pick up time online, click here.
Sinking Spring Library*
Place your holds online or call the library (610-926-1555). Once we have filled your hold request(s), you will be contacted to arrange a time to pick up your items. Items will be placed on a table outside the library rear entrance, by the steps. Please wear a mask to help protect our staff and yourself.
Spring Township Library*
Place your holds online or call the library (610-373-9888). Library staff will prepare your order and make an appointment for you to pick up your materials for a contactless pick-up.
Village Library of Morgantown
Place your holds online or call the library (610-286-1022). When your items are available, we will call you to set up a day and time to pick them up. On your scheduled day and time, you can pick up your items from the library. Please call the library when you arrive. Masks must be worn when picking up items.
Wernersville Public Library*
Patrons may call the library to have holds placed (610-678-8771), or do it through the online catalog. Staff call when items are ready for pickup. At that time, patrons can choose to stop in to pick up their items (must wear a mask), make an appointment for curbside pickup to avoid waiting inside the library, or if they are unable to wear a mask or make it by during our operating hours, they can choose to have items delivered to their home.
West Lawn-Wyomissing Hills Library*
Place your holds online or call (610-678-4888) / email (email@example.com) the library. Library staff arrange a pickup date/time with you and your available items will be checked out and ready to go at the appointed time.
Womelsdorf Community Library*
Requests will be taken by phone (610-589-1424), email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or library Facebook page. The requesting patron will be given a fifteen minute pick-up window for picking up their items. We will place checked out items that have been requested in bags or bins marked with the first three letters of last name, last four digits of library card number. Patrons will then be able to enter the vestibule and pick up their items during their fifteen minute pick-up window.
Libraries with an asterix * after their name are currently open for limited in-person services including indoor browsing. Please visit your library's website or social media pages for specific information about their available services.
Our Commitment to Safety
Our library staff are following CDC, PA Dept. of Health, and Office of Commonwealth guidelines to keep our patrons and staff safe while continuing to offer limited library services. Our procedure guidelines are as follows:
- All returned items are quarantined for at least 72 hours before being processed.
- High-contact surfaces are routinely cleaned and sanitized.
- All staff are required to wear face coverings.
- Temperatures are checked prior to assigned shift. Library staff with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, or are otherwise exhibiting flu-like symptoms are not permitted to work.
- Sanitizer and personal protective equipment are made available throughout the building.
- Work stations and shift times have been adjusted to practice proper social distancing.
