Join us for a virtual discussion of "Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy" by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant held on Zoom.

The book is available to be placed on hold as well as available on Overdrive.

Option B combines stories, research, and practical advice to help you build strength for life's challenges - and help your family and community do the same. This year's selection is an extension of Transforming Health's "Here With You" campaign designed to support communities in Central Pennsylvania during and after the COVID-19 health crisis.

This will be prepared for ages 0-3 years. Tuesdays at 10 AM

Fables Storytime

We will have a weekly reading of a fable, folktale or fairytale each week this summer as part of the Imagine Your Story theme! We will travel around the world reading various stories and providing recommendations of how to bring these stories to life at home. 

Thursdays at 10:30 AM

Recommended ages 5 to 10 years

Some of these stories may be scary or intense for our littlest of listeners and there will be a warning of any potentially frightening themes listed in the description.

Drawing FUNdamentals

This class will cover basics of drawing such as layout, composition and three-dimensional drawing. Join each class to build your skills over the summer!

This is a free class and will be held every other Monday at 3 PM on Zoom.

Insectarium

Join us for a free virtual program to learn about insects up close from home! The Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion will be showing us many of our flying, creeping, crawling friends!

Scrunchie

We will be making no sew scrunchies!

Friday, July 31st at 3 PM

Materials:

  • Cloth - fat quarters would work well, but any spare fabric or even an old tshirt would work.
  • Elastic 1/4 thick
  • Safetypins
  • Either a glue like fabric fusion or a hot glue gun.
