Here are the latest updates for the Spring Township Library
You may browse in the library, but we ask that you are mindful of the amount of time you spend browsing. We highly encourage unvaccinated patrons to wear masks during their library visit. We ask that you do not visit the library in person if you are showing any symptoms, someone in your household is showing symptoms, or you have come into contact with anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19 at any point in the last two weeks. If you require or want alternative services we are happy to accommodate, please call the library for more information.
We continue to properly clean and encourage social distancing while limiting available areas to study, as well as limiting available computers throughout the day. Patrons are welcome to use computers for a maximum of one hour, with one renewal per day as long as a computer is available with no one waiting. Patrons are welcome to use the copier or fax for the normal rates.
Sincerely,
Barbara Kline

Make Use of Our Online Resources
You have access to materials 24/7 with our various online resources!
Visit Berks Libraries Resources Page to learn how to access movies, books and music from home.
Both libraries are also working tirelessly to compile information, ideas, and more to provide our communities with fun and educational activities for those who are currently spending an unusual amount of time at home. We will continue to make this information available on our websites and on Facebook.
Stay Healthy
Here at the Spring Township Library Association we have the utmost concern for all of our patrons, staff and volunteers. We encourage all of you to continue to follow the advice of various government and health agencies such as the following:
- Any fully vaccinated person who experiences COVID-19 symptoms should isolate themselves from others, be clinically evaluated, and tested if indicated. The symptomatic fully vaccinated person should inform their healthcare provider of their vaccination status.
- Fully vaccinated people who have come into close contact with someone with COVID-19 should be tested 3-5 days following the date of their exposure and wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until they receive a negative test result. They should isolate if they test positive.
- Fully vaccinated people who live in a household with someone who is immunosuppressed, at increased risk of severe disease, or unvaccinated (including children) could also consider masking at home for 14 days following a known exposure or until they receive a negative test result.
- Most fully vaccinated people with no symptoms do not need to quarantine or be restricted from work following an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, if they follow the testing and masking recommendation above.
- Wash your hands often.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow. If a tissue is used, immediately dispose of it and wash your hands.
- Don't touch your face, especially your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects in your home and at work frequently.
- Stay home if you exhibit symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, a runny nose, sore throat, fever OR if you have come into contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19.
- Practice contactless greetings such as a wave, nod or bow.
- Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
Coping with Anxiety
This is understandably a stressful time for our communities. Here are some helpful ways to stay relaxed and reduce anxiety:
- Connect with friends and loved ones. Thanks to technology we can still keep in touch through texts, emails, video chat and phone calls.
- Limit where you are turning to for COVID-19 related information. Choose sources that are reliable such as those listed on this updates page.
- Limit the amount of time you take in this information. Perhaps only checking once at the beginning of your day, and once at the end of the day.
- Stay positive about what you can control such as following good hygiene practices and having a plan of action.
- Practice relaxing, self-care activities such as yoga, stretching, meditation, a bubble bath, or reading a book (our favorite idea of course!).
