Ways to Earn Points
READING
- 1 minute = 2 points, 1 picture book = 25 points or 1 book/audiobook = 100 points
- When you log reading in a family account, you can choose who you’re logging the reading for. For example if you read a picture book to your 2 children, both children can log it.
- Adult/Teens can only log books or audiobooks for points
MISSIONS
- Missions are challenges that you complete for points.
- The main idea of missions is to encourage you to try new things.
- All missions are worth 300 points
Ways to Redeem Points
Tokens or Year End Raffle (Under 12)
During the summer, children who wish to purchase tokens can use any points earned from January - July 30. Points can also be saved year long towards the Year-End Raffle in December. To redeem points, go the the Prize Store or Raffle tab on the computer view or by selecting "more actions" button on the mobile view and then selecting Prize Store/Raffle and purchasing the desired number of items. All children who read during the summer will be automatically entered in the children's raffle.
Raffles (13+)
To redeem your points for the raffles, go to your account and login to the main page. To purchase a ticket, go the the raffle tab on the computer view or by selecting "more actions" button on the mobile view and then selecting Raffle. Select "Get Tickets" to purchase the tickets for the different prizes with your points. This will provide different options of prizes and the points required to purchase. These will then be drawn in early August for Summer and in January of the following year for the year end. Different tickets are purchased for each raffle.
This program will continue from January 1- December 31, 2025 with 2 separate raffles. One at the end of the summer and one at the end of the program. Both children and adults can participate, it is up to you how you log points either by reading and/or the missions you choose to accept in order to earn badges. Children can redeem points in the prize store for tokens during the summer and raffle tickets at the year- end raffle. The summer raffle for children is by reading participation only.
