Teen Night

We're having a TEEN NIGHT here at the library on Friday, October 18th for 7th and 8th graders only. Permission forms must be turned in by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th.

Come hang out AFTER HOURS at the library for a Flannel Friday where your teen can do as much or as little as they like!

TEENS! Want a space to read without a little brother or sister bugging you? Want to play a video game in peace? Want to paint your nails and talk with friend? Need a place to spread out so you can craft with friends? This is the time to do it!

Plus, we'll have activities planned throughout the evening if you WANT to participate (you don't have to!), like root beer tasting, chocolate bar guessing game, and a scavenger hunt. So come squirrel your Friday night away with us!

Registration is required and is limited to the first 20 teens to register and hand in permission slips. For permission form, click here.

October 28th, 6 p.m.

Depression Awareness & Screening

Join Emotional Wellness Therapist Deborah Fluck to learn about depression in adults, the risks involved with going untreated, and how to detect depression in children and teens.

Deborah has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of conditions. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based, Solution-Focused Brief, and other systems to treat relationship issues, family conflict, mood disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, esteem issues, and many other behavioral concerns.

Help kick the stigma of mental illness and join us! Individual appointments can also be made for 5-minute depression screening sessions, which will take place after the presentation. Call to register - 610-406-9431. Screening appointments can be made at the time of registration.

B the Reader

B the Reader

The Exeter Community Library and The Restaurant at Boscov’s East have teamed up to create the B the Reader Rewards Program. B the Reader motivates children to read by rewarding their reading accomplishments with recognition and a free meal!

The program is simple and fun! When children in grades K-12 reach the monthly goal of 20 books, they will receive a Reading Award Certificate, good for a free breakfast at The Restaurant at Boscov’s East (value up to $4.99).

This is a year-round program available January through December each year. All children who redeem their Reading Award certificates at the restaurant will also be entered into a monthly drawing for a $25 Boscov’s gift card!

For more information, click here. Grab a log sheet here or stop by in person at the library!
