Teen and Adult Volunteers

The library is always looking for energetic individuals to help with shelving and special projects that keep the library operating smoothly. If you would like to become an ongoing volunteer, we ask that you are able to commit to 1-2 hours, at the same time each week. We also welcome one time volunteers for special events or projects.

Click here to access the volunteer application.  Once completed the application can be delivered to the library director.

Brandywine Community Library Board of Trustees

The Board draws upon a diverse group of volunteers for its membership and participation is a wonderful way to assist and advocate for the library.

The Board provides governance for the Brandywine Community Library; establishes and monitors annual budget; hires and evaluates the director; develops a strategic plan; actively fundraises; advocates for the organization; and ensures the library complies with Pennsylvania State Library standards. Each Board member is responsible for supporting the Library’s vision and mission and communicating it to the community.

Board meetings are normally held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM online via Zoom or in the Brandywine Community Library Board Meeting Room. November’s meeting is on the third Thursday due to the holiday and there are no meetings in July and December. Meetings are open to the public.
