The primary goal of every public library is to serve its community through the provision of free and equitable resources. The strength of a public library's success is largely dependent on the involvement of community members to ensure the long-term sustainability of the library and its services.
When library boards are successful, libraries are successful, and everyone benefits.
By submitting an expression of interest, your information will be sent to your local library for its consideration. Your library will then reach out to you to discuss opportunities for committee, board, or Friend group service.
Several factors are taken into consideration when appointing individuals to any role. It is important to know that completing an expression of interest does not guarantee placement. Placement decisions are made by each library and their municipalities, not by Berks County Public Libraries.
